Hey y’all! So a few weeks back, I saw my girlfriend Shelly posting about some Origami Owl lockets she’s selling. The one she’d posted on Facebook was a cute locket that had a horseshoe in it. I told her if she created a few “looks” that were up a country girl’s alley, I’d be happy to have them featured on the blog. And she did! Check out her country and MilSo themed creations below. 🙂
For now, I’m turning it over the Shelly!
Supplies to make the above Cowgirl Locket: Sterling silver cable chain, silver living locket, tractor charm, silver horse charm, horseshoe charm, and silver cowgirl boot barn.
With Origami Owl, the options are endless as to what you can create with their lockets and jewelry. Each locket is meant to represent who you are and what is important to you.
For some, they may include charms that remind them of their wedding day or the birth of their children. For others, the locket may represent their hobbies, dreams and life goals.
The lockets open and allow you to remove and change the charms as often as you would like. It is so versatile and personalized that you will be amazed as to all that you can create within one single locket!
Supplies to make the above MilSo Bracelet: Silver locket bracelet chain, silver twist link locket, American flag charm, silver husband charm, and silver wedding ring charm.
Our lockets are made of stainless steel and offer the strength and durability that a locket requires. The charms are all hand painted and will impress you with their level of detail and uniqueness! All of the products are nickel and lead free and also hypoallergenic.
When creating your locket, I recommend first choosing the charms that tell your story. There are countless categories of charms and you will find charms from birthstones to family charms to military charms, and on.
Once you have narrowed down the charms, you can begin to look through the lockets. There are 3 sizes of the round lockets – the Mini locket holds approximately 1-2 charms, the Medium locket holds 4-5 charms and the Large lockets hold 5-9 charms. There are now 2 sizes of the gorgeous heart locket and there is also a beautiful Heritage locket that is rectangular in shape.
Supplies to make the above Support Our Troops Locket: Silver toggle chain, black locket face, silver faith plate, love serif charm, support our troops ribbon, gold sparrow charm and silver K initial charm (you can choose other letters).
My favorite locket pictured is the Large Black locket with crystals with the Faith plate, and the initial charm, yellow ribbon charm, the bird charm and the love charm. Again, you can customize this locket any way that you like!
You can also add a back plate inside the locket to add a beautiful background and you can also add dangles to hang from the chain to add a bit of character! The options are endless!
The locket at the top of the post is a cute example of a country cowgirl locket. It has the Medium Silver Locket with Crystals along with the cowboy boot charm, the tractor charm (love this one!), the horse charm and horseshoe charms.
Supplies to make the above Bling Cross Bracelet: Black bracelet, locket base, locket face and cross window plate.
